12 Week Jumper’s Knee Program
Jumper’s knee is an overuse injury caused by small tears in the patellar tendon, possible degeneration, which typically occurs during running and jumping sports. The pain is usually distinct and located just under the kneecap and occurs during or after an activity.
Jumper’s knee generally occurs as a result of:
- Poor biomechanics; and/or
- A lack of load tolerance.
Speak to a physiotherapist or sports Doctor prior to doing this program. Patellofemoral pain (PFP) and patellar tendinopathy (PT) can be misdiagnosed. If you are not a jumping athlete you may have PFP.
